Add social proof to Webflow without a third-party app
One script tag in Webflow Site Settings and your notifications and testimonials go live across every page you choose.
Webflow makes it easy to build fast, beautiful websites. Adding social proof to a Webflow site is just as straightforward - there is no app marketplace, no plugin to install, and no Webflow-specific configuration required.
Proofpings loads from a single script tag. You paste it once into Webflow Site Settings under Custom Code, publish, and the widget appears on your live site. From the Proofpings dashboard, you control which pages the widget shows on, what the notifications say, and what testimonials display.
How to install Proofpings on Webflow
- Copy your Proofpings script tag
Log in to your Proofpings account and copy the embed script from the dashboard. It looks like a standard <script> tag with your unique site ID.
- Open Webflow Site Settings
In the Webflow designer, click the gear icon in the top left to open Site Settings. Navigate to the Custom Code tab.
- Paste into Head Code
In the "Head Code" field, paste your Proofpings script tag. This loads Proofpings on every page of your Webflow site.
- Publish your site
Click Save, then publish your Webflow site. The Proofpings widget is now live on your published domain.
- Configure your notifications
In the Proofpings dashboard, create your activity notifications and testimonial widgets. Changes in the dashboard go live on your site immediately without requiring a Webflow republish.
Proofpings works on Webflow sites on any plan, including the free plan. The widget loads asynchronously and does not affect your Webflow Lighthouse scores. If you want the widget to appear only on specific pages rather than site-wide, use Webflow's page-level Custom Code setting instead of the Site Settings head code.
Common questions
- Does Proofpings work on Webflow CMS pages?
- Yes. If you add the script tag to Site Settings, it loads on all pages including CMS template pages. You can also configure Proofpings to target specific page URLs if you want different notifications on collection pages versus static pages.
- Will Proofpings slow down my Webflow site?
- No. The script loads asynchronously, meaning it does not block your page render. The widget appears after the page is interactive.
- Can I add Proofpings to a Webflow e-commerce product page?
- Yes. The script loads on all pages including product detail pages. You can configure product-specific notifications from the Proofpings dashboard.
