Add social proof to Leadpages without leaving the page builder
Leadpages has a built-in Analytics & Tracking section for custom scripts. Paste your Proofpings tag there and your social proof is live.
Leadpages is a dedicated landing page platform used by marketers, coaches, and small businesses to build opt-in pages, webinar registrations, and sales pages. Its page builder includes an analytics and tracking section that accepts custom JavaScript - which is where Proofpings goes.
You do not need to modify any template code or contact Leadpages support. The script goes in the page settings, takes about two minutes to add, and the widget appears on your published page immediately.
How to install Proofpings on Leadpages
- Copy your script tag
From your Proofpings dashboard, copy the embed script.
- Open your Leadpages page editor
In Leadpages, open the page you want to add social proof to.
- Open page settings
Click the settings icon (gear icon) in the page editor. Navigate to the "Analytics" or "Tracking" tab.
- Paste in the head tracking section
Find the field labeled "Head Tracking Code" or "Header Scripts." Paste your Proofpings script tag here. Save.
- Publish the page
Publish or update your Leadpage. The Proofpings widget now loads on the live page.
If you use Leadpages to publish pages on your own domain, the script runs on your domain. If you publish on a Leadpages subdomain (e.g., yourpage.lpages.co), the script still runs correctly. Proofpings notification targeting is based on the URL in the browser, so you can configure specific notifications for each Leadpages URL.
Common questions
- Does Proofpings work on all Leadpages templates?
- Yes. The script tag loads independently of the page template. It works on opt-in pages, sales pages, webinar registration pages, and thank-you pages.
- Can I show social proof on a thank-you page in Leadpages?
- Yes. Add the script to your thank-you page the same way. You can configure a different set of testimonials on the thank-you page - for example, testimonials about the value of what the visitor just signed up for.
- My Leadpages plan does not show a tracking code section. What do I do?
- Some Leadpages plans restrict custom code. If you do not see a Head Tracking Code section, check that your plan includes custom JavaScript. The Standard plan includes it. The free trial has limited custom code access.
